Purpose of the Job
The Marketing Manager CHC is responsible for developing and executing the local brand strategies, managing the marketing budget and P&L, and driving market share growth for the Consumer Healthcare portfolio in Romania.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive marketing strategies and brand plans using market data, consumer trends and category insights;
- Adapt regional/global strategies into winning annual brand plans tailored for the Romanian consumer and patient landscape;
- Own the budget allocation, forecasting, and financial performance (top-line sales and profitability) of the assigned portfolio;
- Manage brand revenue, profit goals, and promotional budgets to ensure a strong return on investment (ROI);
- Run multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, social media, and retail/pharmacy touchpoints;
- Partner closely with the Sales, Key Accounts and Trade Marketing teams to build tailored promotional campaigns for key pharmacy chains and top wholesalers;
- Lead the end-to-end execution of 360° marketing campaigns, including TV, digital, social media;
- Supervise and lead the marketing team, assigning tasks, setting goals and providing coaching/mentoring;
- Analyze market data and campaign performance to measure success and make strategic adjustments as necessary;
- Stay up to date on pharmaceutical market trends, regulations and competition to identify opportunities and challenges;
- Establish relationships with advertising agencies and other third-party vendors to support company marketing initiatives;
- Work closely with Sales, Digital, Regulatory Affairs, Finance and Medical departments.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's or master’s degree in marketing, business, economics or a healthcare-related field.
- Experience: 8+ years in marketing, with at least 3 years in a Senior Brand Manager or Marketing Manager role within Consumer Healthcare (OTC, Food Supplements)
- Skills: Strong analytical thinking, commercial awareness, regulatory compliance knowledge, and fluent communication skills
- Direct experience leading local product launches, from building the local business case and sales forecasting to go-to-market execution and shelf placement
- Creative problem-solving skills to build impactful, highly visible consumer campaigns
- Fluent / professional English (written and spoken) to ensure seamless reporting to regional/global hubs and participation in international projects.
