In this role as Country Head UK & Ireland full you will have full P&L accountability for the UK & Ireland affiliate, ensuring optimal resource allocation, strong financial performance, and sustainable business growth. The role oversees all operations, drives the development of existing business, and identifies new opportunities to enhance revenue and profitability.

As a people leader, you will cultivate an engaged, high‑performing organization, ensuring talent development and full compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. In this role you will foster a collaborative, results‑driven culture aligned with Alfasigma’s values and business conduct standards, working hand in hand with key stakeholders in Finance, Legal and HR as well as the critical Commercial, Medical, Marketing and Supply Chain functions.

As a member of the North‑West Europe Cluster Leadership Team, you will contribute to shaping and executing regional and global strategies, sharing best practices, and addressing cross‑country challenges.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide overall strategic and operational leadership for the UK & Ireland organization
  • Drive commercial excellence and deliver annual revenue, profitability and market‑share targets, ensuring robust sales execution, forecasting accuracy and effective multichannel management (wholesalers, pharmacy chains, hospitals and other partners).
  • Develop and implement growth strategies to expand the business organically, strengthening the company’s competitive position in the market.
  • Lead annual and mid‑term strategic and financial planning ensuring consistent delivery of corporate KPIs including revenue, profit and cash flow.
  • Build and maintain a high‑performing, agile organization by optimizing structure, attracting and developing talent, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and alignment with Alfasigma values.
  • Ensure effective cross‑functional and cross‑country collaboration to accelerate strategic initiatives and translate them into measurable business impact.
  • Ensure full compliance with national statutory, tax and financial reporting obligations, as well as corporate governance requirements.
  • Guarantee adherence to all Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, and GDP obligations under The Human Medicines Regulations 2012 by overseeing the Responsible Person, regulatory communications, and the Quality Management System.

Who are you

  • Minimum 7 years of senior leadership experience in Country Management or Business Unit leadership roles within the pharmaceutical sector (Rx portfolio), with a proven ability to lead commercial organisations through transformation and accelerated growth.
  • Demonstrated end‑to‑end ownership of a full P&L, including strategic resource allocation, financial discipline, scenario planning and the ability to deliver sustainable revenue expansion and EBITDA improvement at country level.
  • High leadership capabilities, evidenced by the ability to build, elevate and energize high‑performing teams, strengthen organisational capabilities, and drive operational excellence and cross‑functional alignment in fast‑moving environments.
  • Track record of developing, scaling and profitably launching brands, portfolios or new commercial channels, including tangible examples of margin improvement, successful growth interventions and business model innovation.
  • Deep understanding of market-entry strategies, product lifecycle management, market access dynamics and launch excellence, with the ability to navigate the regulatory, competitive and payer landscape to maximise portfolio value.
  • Proven ability to operate and influence effectively within a matrixed global organisation, balancing strategic vision with hands‑on execution.
  • Strong communication and executive presence, capable of representing the business with customers, partners, authorities and internal leadership.
