The Position:
The Business Strategy Analyst for D&EM plays a critical role in supporting the development and the execution of the strategic growth initiatives and optimizing business performance across distributors and emerging markets.
This role focuses on the process of researching, analyzing, transforming complex data (including company data, market and competitive data, regulatory and compliance insights, customers insights, digital insights) into actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making in market dynamics, sales performance, customer behavior and operational efficiency.
Working in close collaboration with the D&EM commercial and finance teams, the analyst will support the development of strategic plans, performance tracking, and market intelligence efforts to enhance business outcomes and drive sustainable growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- Data Management & Analysis:
- Manage, process, and analyze large, complex data sets from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and consistency
- Responsible to build models providing insights into market trends, customer behaviors, regulatory environments, and competitive landscapes within the cluster
- Propose and assist in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of emerging market strategies and develop related dashboards and automated reports
- Business Insight Generation:
- Analyze market trends, competitor data, and customer insights to drive growth strategies and optimize operational performance.
- Propose and assist in the development of data-driven strategies to identify new business opportunities, optimize resource allocation, and improve overall business performance
- Monitor the performance of distributors and partners, providing actionable insights to optimize operational efficiency and drive revenue growth
- Develop, maintain and improve regular reports and presentations for senior leadership on market performance, key trends, and strategic recommendations
- Support the preparation of feasibility studies and market assessments for new market entry or expansion business cases
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements
- Work closely with the D&EM Commercial Team to understand business needs and align analytical output with commercial strategies
Requirements:
- Experience: min. 3-5 years in Business Intelligence, Business Data Analysis, or equivalent roles
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in data visualization, Excel, SAP, SQL, ETL, and a foundational understanding of data warehousing
- Familiarity with statistical modeling, forecasting, market research, and predictive analytics
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and independently
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to set up business processes from scratch and to structure data (files) within the cluster and towards the Global team
- Fluent or native speaking in English
- Preferred Background: previous experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or consumer goods sectors, particularly in strategy, marketing, commercial excellence, or similar analytical roles. Exposure to emerging markets or distributor models is highly valued.
