The Position:
Alfasigma Consumer Healthcare, from its position of leadership on the Italian market, is committed to expand its geographical presence and product portfolio in the CHC area. The Associate Medical Expert in Consumer Healthcare will lead and support Evidence Generation activities including the design of studies as well as provide medical insights and expertise to support regulatory submissions and medical initiatives for the consumer healthcare products. The Medical Expert Associate will work closely with the R&D Science Leads in identifying new products and additionally with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Sales, to ensure that all products meet the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support Evidence Generation activities, including the design of preclinical, clinical and/or RWE studies.
• Support regulatory submissions by providing medical expertise and by reviewing regulatory documents, ensuring all product information is accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements as well as medical guidelines and standards (both internal and external).
• Develop medical initiatives in close collaboration with CHC medical expert (publications, disseminations, KOL engagement) to support key brands strategy ensuring high quality, credible and relevant data are generated to support new/existing products.
• Author, update and maintain relevant scientific documentation and publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
• Key Opinion Leader (KOL) mapping, engagement, management and coordination of Advisory Boards in close collaboration with CHC medical expert
Requirements:
• Medical degree (MD)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical or clinical role within the consumer healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in medical affair in consumer healthcare markets.
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements in consumer healthcare and experience in developing and reviewing scientific materials.
• Familiarity with digital health technologies and their application in consumer healthcare.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, and good command of the English language, with the ability to translate complex medical information to non-medical audiences.
• Experience in developing and reviewing scientific materials.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Experience with gastrointestinal markets (probiotics, acid/reflux, constipation) is a plus.
