Legal Associate - M&A, R&D & Procurement

Scope of the Role

We are looking for a Legal Associate to join the Alfasigma Global Legal Team in Milan.

In this role, you will work closely with business and operations teams. You will focus on contract management across Business Development, R&D, Supply Chain and Direct Procurement.

You will also gain exposure to M&A transactions and strategic corporate projects, working in a global and cross-functional environment.

Your Role

Contract Management (Business Development & R&D)

  • Draft, review and support in the negotiation of agreements, including:
    • Licensing (in- and out-licensing)
    • Research and co-development agreements
    • Strategic partnership contracts
  • Support deal structuring and negotiations
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle (execution, amendments, renewals)
  • Identify risks and propose practical, business-oriented solutions
Supply Chain & Direct Procurement
  • Support contracts related to:
    • Supply and procurement
    • Manufacturing (CMO/CDMO)
    • Logistics and distribution
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Direct Procurement stakeholders on legal topics
M&A and Corporate Projects
  • Support M&A transactions (acquisitions, divestments, strategic deals)
  • Contribute to legal due diligence activities
  • Review contracts and corporate documents
  • Support in the coordination with external counsel and internal teams
  • Assist in drafting transaction documentation
General Legal Support
  • Maintain contract templates, policies, and legal tools
  • Ensure compliance with laws and internal governance
  • Support int he external counsel management
  • Prepare legal reports and documentation
Who are you 

Experience & Education

  • Law degree
  • 2–5 years of experience in-house and/or in an international law firm
  • Strong experience in contract management
  • Experience in life sciences, pharma, or biotech is a plus
Skills
  • Solid knowledge of commercial contracts
  • Exposure to supply chain or operational agreements is a plus
  • Basic understanding of M&A and due diligence
  • Fluent in English
