As we continue to grow, we are seeking Senior Accountant supporting our Nutrition & Rare Disease businesses. This is a hybrid position based out of our Morristown, NJ office.
Scope of the role:
This position will provide direct support to the Controller ensuring that all transactions are properly accounted for and recorded. The position will contribute to ensure all ledger accounts are reconciled timely and provide a direct line of support to business colleagues and other members of the Finance team.
Your key responsibilities:
- Ownership of various monthly financial closing activities, procedures, journal entries and account reconciliations for both the Intercept and Alfasigma USA businesses
- Manage the creation and entry of payroll and compensation related journal entries and accruals.
- Managed the Fixed Asset process including any additions and depreciation
- Assist in the creation and review of financial reporting detail.
- Assist in special projects as needed.
Who are you:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proactive, self-starter who possesses exceptional multi-tasking and communication skills, both oral and written.
- A high level of professionalism, organization, and flexibility are essential.
- This role also requires a friendly, energetic person with high integrity who can represent the accounting department with professionalism - interacting with peers, colleagues, industry leaders, and corporate executives. Must possess excellent organization skills and exercise strong attention to detail.
- BS in Accounting or related discipline.
- CPA is a strong plus.
- 5-7 years of combined experience within public accounting and industry in a similar role or capacity.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is a strong plus but not required.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively across a matrix organization.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize with minimal daily instruction.
- Ability to think strategically in order to improve current processes

Compensation & Benefits:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $110,000- 135,000. This represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including, but not limited to, experience, skillset, and performance.
