Sr. Specialist, Global IT Serialization and Supply Chain

Scope of the role:

Reporting to the Director, Global IT Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Procurement, this role acts as the functional owner and subject matter expert for Serialization and Track & Trace solutions, overseeing Level 4 serialization platforms and their integration with Level 3 manufacturing and packaging systems. The position is responsible for driving functional enhancements, managing projects and system integrations, resolving business-critical issues, coordinating external vendors, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain operations, while ensuring operational reliability and regulatory compliance throughout the serialization landscape.

Your Role

Serialization & Track & Trace

• Own and manage Level 4 serialization platforms (e.g. TraceLink and equivalent solutions).
• Coordinate and support integrations between SAP, Serialization systems and regulatory repositories.
• Manage serialization master data, product onboarding, market onboarding and lifecycle changes.
• Support compliance initiatives related to EU-FMD and global serialization regulations.
• Lead functional investigations and root cause analysis for serialization incidents and process deviations.
• Ensure end-to-end traceability across manufacturing, packaging, warehousing and distribution processes.

SAP Supply Chain & Logistics

• Support and enhance SAP processes in:
• Distribution
• Warehouse Management
• Logistics Execution
• Shipping and Transportation
• Inventory Management
• Batch Management
• Collect and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Manage configuration requests and coordinate developments with system integrators.
• Participate in testing, validation and deployment activities.

Project & Enhancement Management

• Lead medium-size projects and enhancements independently.
• Coordinate business stakeholders, external vendors and technical teams.
• Monitor project progress, risks, issues and action plans.
• Prepare status reports and present progress to management.
• Support qualification and validation activities in GxP environments.

Functional Support & Investigations

• Act as Level 2/Level 3 functional expert.
• Perform impact assessments for new business requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex integration issues involving SAP, TraceLink, Antares and external partners.
• Support audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization.

Who are you:

Requirements Summary

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Management Engineering, Economics, or a related field.

• 5-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, FMCG, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Proven expertise in Serialization & Track & Trace, including Level 3, 4 and 5 serialization platforms and regulatory reporting.
• Strong experience with SAP Supply Chain, Logistics and Distribution processes.
• Background in managing business-critical applications and leading functional projects and system enhancements.
• Understanding system integrations, APIs, middleware, master data governance, manufacturing/packaging processes, and incident management.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance standards, including EU-FMD, GxP, GMP/GDP, Audit Trail, Data Integrity (ALCOA+), and CSV/CSA validation concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, drive issue resolution, and operate in international environments.
• Preferred experience with TraceLink, Antares Vision, SAP S/4HANA, pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, and certifications such as ITIL, PMP, Prince2, or Agile.

Salary range 48.000€ - 65.000€

The compensation range indicated in this job posting represents an estimated average range for the position. The final remuneration will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, in accordance with applicable EU pay transparency and pay equity requirements.
